SANVORDEM: An unidentified male, approximately 50 years of age, was tragically run over by Train No. 56966 . The incident was reported by the Deputy Station Manager, Vasco-da-Gama, prompting an immediate enquiry by the Vasco Railway Police.
Upon visiting the site, authorities described the deceased as having a thin build, whitish complexion, and a height of about 5’1″. He was wearing a white and black checked shirt along with blue jeans at the time of the incident.
The body has been preserved at SGDH Margao for identification and medico-legal formalities. Police have registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of BNS . The investigation is being led by PSI Krishna Talpi of Vasco Railway Police Station.
Efforts are underway to ascertain the identity of the deceased, and police have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
