PALOLEM: A man aged between 25 and 30 years was declared dead at CHC Canacona on Wednesday night after being brought in as a suspected drowning case from Palolem Beach.
Police said that at 21:13 hrs on 3 December 2025, a call was received from the on-duty doctor at CHC Canacona informing that the man had been brought in by a Life Saver Rescue vehicle.
During the enquiry, police spoke to Drishti lifeguard Gajanan Velip, who reported that the victim was found floating in the sea at Palolem Beach.
He was immediately transported to the community health centre, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The body has been preserved at SGDH, Margao, for medico-legal examination and identification.
Further inquiry is being conducted by PSI Vishal Velip of Canacona Police Station.
