Vasco: An unidentified male, aged about 50 years, was found dead at Sanvordem Railway Station on Wednesday evening, police said.
According to information received from the Deputy Station Manager, South Western Railway (SWR), Vasco da Gama, the incident was reported on January 29, 2026, at around 6.10 pm. The man was found lying in an unconscious condition on Platform No. 2, CNR end, at Sanvordem Railway Station. He was examined by 108 ambulance staff, who declared him dead on the spot.
Upon receiving the information, police visited the location and found the unidentified body lying on Platform No. 2. Preliminary enquiry revealed that the deceased may have died due to some illness.
Police conducted the scene of occurrence panchanama in connection with an Unnatural Death (UD) case. The body has been preserved at the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao, for further medico-legal formalities and identification.
Further enquiry in the case is being carried out by PSI Krishna Talpi of Vasco Railway Police Station.
