Margao: An unidentified man, aged around 47 years, was found lying near the Margao railway station on Friday and was later declared brought dead at the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH).
Police said the deceased appeared to be a beggar who had been staying by the roadside near the station for the past few days. No external injuries were found on the body, and no foul play is suspected.
The body has been preserved at the SGDH morgue for medico-legal formalities and identification. Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Subhash Gaonkar of Margao Town Police Station.
