MARGAO: Margao Town Police have registered an unnatural death case after an unidentified man, aged around 35 to 40 years, was found lying unconscious near the Sulabh Toilet at Station Road, Margao, on Wednesday evening.
According to police, a call was received at around 5:20 p.m. on October 15, 2025, from the Casualty Police of South District Hospital, informing that the man had been brought dead by a 108 emergency service team.
During the enquiry, police found that the deceased was a rag picker and chronic alcoholic, who was often seen sleeping on the footpath near the Margao Railway Station Road.
The body has been preserved at South District Hospital, Margao, for medico-legal examination and identification.
Further enquiry is being conducted by PSI Shubham Gaunkar of Margao Town Police Station.
