Panaji: United Breweries Limited (UBL), India’s largest beer maker and part of the global HEINEKEN group, has rolled out its premium brew Amstel Grande in Goa, further strengthening its presence in India’s high-end beer segment.
Known for its slow-brewed process and longer maturation, Amstel Grande promises a richer, smoother taste crafted from the finest barley, distinctive Dutch yeast, and handpicked hops — all without added sugar. The beer has already topped consumer taste tests globally and in India, setting a fresh benchmark in premium strong beer.
“Goa is a market that embraces international, premium experiences,” said Vikram Bahl, UBL’s Chief Marketing Officer. “After successful launches in Maharashtra, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka, we are confident Amstel Grande will soon be the brew of choice here.”
The Amstel brand, born in Amsterdam in 1870 from two friends’ dream of brewing a better beer, is today enjoyed in over 100 countries. Amstel Grande carries forward this ‘Brewed for Bonding’ philosophy, aimed at creating memorable moments over a quality pint.
The India-brewed variant caters to the growing demand for globally inspired yet locally crafted premium strong beers. Its packaging celebrates Amsterdam’s charm with illustrations of Dutch architecture and scenic canals, reinforcing the brand’s European heritage.
Amstel Grande is now available across leading retail outlets in Goa, priced at ₹80 for a 330ml bottle, ₹115 for a 500ml can, and ₹150 for a 650ml bottle.
