Panaji: United Brothers continued their impressive run in the Advocates Cricket League 2025–26 T20 tournament with a fourth consecutive victory, while Legal Titans stayed firmly in contention for a semifinal spot following a commanding win on Sunday. The matches, played at the Chicalim ground in Vasco, delivered competitive cricket marked by aggressive batting and disciplined bowling.
United Brothers’ latest success lifted them to the top of the points table with eight points from four matches, pushing 18 Juners down to second place. Legal Titans, meanwhile, strengthened their campaign with a confidence boosting performance that keeps their knockout aspirations intact.
In the opening match of the day, Lotlikar Lions posted a challenging total of 167 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs after opting to bat first. Venkatesh Rathod anchored the innings with a powerful 79 off 40 balls, striking seven boundaries and four sixes. Prashant Borkar provided solid support with a composed 45. For Legal Titans, Satchit Mauskar delivered an excellent spell, claiming four wickets, while Jeevan Divkar chipped in with two.
Legal Titans responded decisively in the chase, racing to 168 for 4 in just 15 overs. Pravin Gawas set the tone with an explosive 68 from 37 deliveries, which included six fours and five sixes. Satyam Ghogale added stability with a useful 37, ensuring a comfortable victory that significantly boosted the team’s net run rate and morale.
The second match saw United Brothers bowled out for 134 in 17.3 overs. Rahul Shet, Dattaraj Gawas and Dattaraj Parab contributed valuable runs to give their side a defendable total. Risers’ bowlers, led by Dattaraj Arondekar and Sandeep Naik, impressed with three wickets apiece.
However, Risers faltered during their chase and were dismissed for 106 in 18.1 overs. Raghu Parab led the bowling attack with a four wicket haul, while Dattaraj Parab provided effective support as United Brothers sealed a convincing win.
With the league stage intensifying, attention now shifts to Monday’s key encounter between Legal Titans and the unbeaten United Brothers. A big margin victory for the Titans could dramatically reshape the semifinal equation and end Risers’ hopes of advancing further.
