PANAJI: United Club Unjirim got the better of Bandol Sports Club 4-2 via the tiebreaker to enter into the semifinals of the 1st Caniza Peixoto Memorial football tournament Org by Agxem Sports Club and played at St.Alex Church ground Curtorim.
Both teams played attacking football and tried to play with short passes and long ranger shots due to rain but Bandol Sports Club scored the first goal through Maldino Rodrigues in the 15th minute from the box while Clifton of Unjirim missed the target before half-time to get the equaliser.
In the second session, both teams had an equal opportunity to score but Unjirim tried to find the equaliser and they got in the 50th minute of the play through Floyd Antao with placement and made way for a penalty shootout to decide the winner.
In the resultant tiebreaker United club Unjirim scored Alister Costa, Floyd Antao and Floyd Luis while Maldino Rodrigues only scored for Bandol Sports Club.
