Valpoi: Unity High School celebrated the 78th Independence Day of India with great fervour and patriotic spirit.
The celebration began with SMC Manager Shabnaz Aga hoisting the national flag and addressing the gathering. In her speech, she highlighted the significance of Independence Day and urged students to take pride in the nation while fulfilling their duties with sincerity.
Chairman Altaf Aga motivated students to excel not only in academics but also in sports and extracurricular activities, bringing laurels to the school and the state. Headmaster Vinayak Sacorji called on students to emulate the virtues of national heroes and strive for excellence in all spheres of life.
Students expressed their patriotism through stirring cultural performances, including songs, dances and speeches that paid tribute to India’s freedom fighters. The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to winners of various competitions, adding to the festive spirit.
The event was hailed as a grand success, instilling a strong sense of patriotism and national pride among the students.
