CANACONA: A dead body of an unknown male person was found floating in the Talpona river at Sadolxem on Monday.
According to Canacona police, when the police reached at the spot, fire & emergency services personnel were already present at the site and fished out the dead body of the unknown male person out of the river. The body was brought to the bank of the river but was found not responding, however the help of an ambulance was shifted to Community Health Centre, Canacona. The doctor on duty declared the unknown person brought dead.
Police conducted scene panchnama and the dead body was preserved at South Goa District Hospital, Margao for identification and to conduct further medico legal formalities.
Canacona police registered the unnatural death U/s 194 of BNSS and further enquiry is conducted by PSI Vishal Velip of Canacona Police Station.
