PARRA: In a crackdown on food safety violations, the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) has shut down an unauthorized tiffin service operating from a private property in Parra.
The action came after officials discovered the food preparation setup functioning in extremely unhygienic conditions.
The kitchen, lacking proper licenses and basic sanitation, was preparing and distributing meals in an open, unsanitary space without clean water or safe food storage.
FDA officials reported the presence of dirty utensils and spoiled ingredients during the inspection.
Authorities promptly sealed the operation and have warned of legal consequences unless the operator complies with health regulations.
The raid is part of an ongoing drive to identify and close down illegal food vendors across Goa.
