After three day long down, the state government has decided to lift the lockdown in other parts of the State except the Mormugao taluka.
The government release said that the “The Government of Goa has decided to continue lockdown for Mormugoa Taluka till 6 am on 24.7.2020 for containment of COVID-19. “
It further said that the formal order will be issued shortly. Rest of Goa will follow the night curfew till 10 Aug 2020, except for containment zones which are governed by the orders issued by the Collector.
Mormugao taluka has accounted for highest number of COVD19 cases in the State so far. The COVID19 spike began from Mangor hill, which still continues to add big numbers of positive cases everyday.
