SIOLIM: A narcotics raid took place in Siolim, Bardez, Goa, on April 1, 2025, between 00:35 hrs and 03:40 hrs, based on reliable information. During the operation, Sonu Yadav, a 29-year-old from Nauwaboh, Islamabad Post, Madanpur, Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, was arrested for possessing 5,010 grams of suspected Ganja, valued at around Rs. 5,00,000.
The narcotics were discovered on Yadav’s white Honda Activa scooter (Registration No. GA-07-M-7636). As a result, the Anjuna Police Station filed an FIR (No. 57/2025) under Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act, 1985.
Yadav was taken into custody and remanded to five days of police custody by the court. The investigation is being handled by PSI Viraj Naik of Anjuna PS, with oversight from PI Anjuna PS and overall direction from SDPO Mapusa and SP North Porvorim. Further developments are expected as the investigation continues.
