PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today said that the upcoming elections will be fought under his leadership.
“It has already been been decided earlier that upcoming elections will be fought under my leadership,” said CM Sawant after core committee meeting
He further said that he had a detailed discussion with National General Secretary B L Santosh and Goa Desk In-Charge C T Ravi on various organizational matters.
“Their visit is in no way connected to the performance of the govt. They are here to oversee the organizational matters and party’s preparations for ensuing assembly elections,” he added
Sawant said the BJP’s state executive, at its meeting, had decided to project him as the chief ministerial face for the 2022 elections.
During the state executive meeting, Goa BJP president Sadanand Tanavade had announced that the next elections would be fought under my leadership, he said.
The Chief Minister, who assumed office in March 2019, claimed the BJP will win more than 30 out of the 40 assembly seats based on the performance of his government
