PANAJI: Vedanta Sesa Goa’s Value-Added Business extended support to local cultural groups specialising in rural Goan music.
The company handed over essential musical instruments (cymbals, pakwaj, tanpura) to the Sateri Aai Dindi Pathak of Amona. This initiative is aimed at supporting the group & to help amplify the talents of its 125 dedicated women members, who have already earned local acclaim for their captivating performances while empowering them to continue their celebrated performances across the state.
The musical instruments were handed over to Pooja Sinari, President of the group, and other members of the cultural group by Mr. Saptesh Sardesai, CEO of VAB. He was joined by Krishna Gawas, Sarpanch VP Amona, Prasad Ajgaonkar, Head of CSR at VAB, and other company representatives from Vedanta’s Value-added business.
Expressing his enthusiasm on the occasion, Saptesh Sardesai, CEO of VAB, said, “We are honoured to support the Sateri Aai Dindi Pathak and contribute to the rich cultural heritage of Goa. By providing these musical instruments, we aim to empower this talented group of women and help them continue to share their unique art form with the world. This initiative is a demonstration of our dedication to promoting and preserving our local talent and culture while fostering a community spirit.”

The event also included a CSR and social performance awareness session, to solidify VAB’s determination towards community development and cultural preservation.
