VALPOI: The Valpoi Shigmotsav Committee has taken strict action following a recent incident during the Shigmotsav celebrations, announcing key decisions to maintain discipline and ensure smooth conduct of future events.
Addressing a press conference, the committee stated that both groups involved in the incident will be denied entry for the upcoming Sattari Shigmotsav.
In a move to enhance safety and accountability, the committee also announced that it will submit a formal representation to the concerned authorities, seeking mandatory alcohol testing of participants before the traditional Romtamel performances.
Additionally, the committee has decided to make it compulsory for every Pathak Pramukh to submit a declaration ensuring discipline and responsible participation by their respective groups during the festivities.
