VASCO: Children and the young generation should be encouraged to plant more tree saplings. Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, along with the Mormugao Municipal councillors, planted plant saplings along with the school students of St. Joseph Primary school Baina.
On Wednesday, St Joseph Primary school conducted a plant sapling drive at the School premises in Baina. Several primary school students, along with the Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, Councillor Shami Salkar, Deepak Naik, and Girish Borkar, planted saplings in the school.
Later, Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar said that it is important to encourage young generations and school children to plant more plant saplings.
He further said that we are witnessing climatic changes in recent times. It is a good initiative for children in this school to engage in green activities.
Headmistress of St.Joseph primary school, Asha Keny showed the school premises to the Journalists and the school’s functioning.
