VASCO: Vasco police, led by PI Kapil Nayak late Monday night, carried out a gambling raid in a Vasco-based hotel room .
Sources said that Vasco police also arrested five persons involved in card gambling activities and seized cash of Rs 1,05,600 from their possession.
“The gambling raid was carried out by Vasco police late Monday night, and five persons were arrested while playing the Andar Bahar card game inside a room of Shivam Hotel. The police attached playing cards, a book and a pen and also seized cash worth 1,05,600 in a different denomination,” said the source.
Vasco police have registered an offence under sections 3 and 4 of the Public Gambling act . PSI Swapnil Naik is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Kapil Nayak and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
