Meanwhile, the other few par committees apart from the Bazarkar par committee were upset about the sudden decision to keep pars at the Saptah this year. In a press briefing on Friday evening, various other par committees expressed their dismay for not taking them into confidence while deciding about keeping par. The committee members said it was difficult for them to make par arrangements at the last movement as it requires some days to make par presentable.
For the last two days, the work of putting makeshift structures in various parts of the port town, especially at Swantantrapath lane, has been ongoing. The stall operators are busy installing their structures.
The municipality saptah ferry will be operational for seven days of Saptah. The Bhajani Saptah rituals and devotional singing inside Shri Damodar temple will be held non-stop for 24 hours.
