VASCO: In a shocking case of animal cruelty, a woman from Pixem Dongri, Vasco, has been booked for allegedly attacking a dog with a knife following a dispute over barking on Tuesday evening
The incident reportedly occurred around 5:30 PM on Tuesday evening near the State Bank of India in Pixem Dongri. Francisco D’souza, a 55-year-old resident of the area, filed a complaint stating that his neighbour, Rhea D’souza, repeatedly stabbed his pet dog with a knife , leaving it seriously injured.
Based on the complaint, Vasco Police have registered an offence under Section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023 and Section 11(a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
The case is being investigated by LPSI Priyanka Patil under the supervision of PI Vaibhav Naik and guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
