VASCO: A vehicle evaluator working at a showroom in Chicalim has been booked for allegedly cheating the company by fraudulently selling vehicles and misappropriating the sale proceeds.
According to police, Kiran Kamat, Senior Manager of Sai Service branch, Chicalim, Vasco, lodged a complaint stating that between November 2025 and February 2026, the accused, Antush Bhatkal, a resident of Vasco, was working as an evaluator of vehicles for True Value at the Sai Service showroom. He was entrusted with duties related to assessment, handling, disposal of vehicles and collection of sale proceeds.
Police said the accused allegedly sold vehicles to various brokers with dishonest intention and misappropriated an amount of Rs 12,95,000 for personal use.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI David Costa of Vasco Police Station.
