VELIM: A resident of Caroi, Velim has been booked after his dog allegedly bit a woman due to negligent handling.
The complaint, filed by Leny D’Silva of Velim, states that on November 19 at around 7:30 pm, the accused, Cajephor Pereira of Caroi, failed to take necessary precautions to control his dog, which was reportedly furious at the time.
As a result of the alleged lapse, the dog attacked and injured the complainant. Police have registered a case for negligent conduct with respect to an animal.
Further investigation is being carried out by ASI Laxman Velip of Cuncolim Police Station.
