Chandor: Chandan Caro, Ishita Colaso, Ruhaan Shaikh, Anaya Shukla, Aarna Lotlikar, and Ishaan Colaso emerged as champions at the 5th Naguesh and Sushila Verenkar Memorial All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, hosted at the Chandor Club Multipurpose Hall. The tournament was organised by Chandor Club under the aegis of the Goa Table Tennis Association.
In the Under-15 Boys final, Chandan Caro came from behind to defeat Ruhaan Shaikh 3-1 (9-11, 11-2, 11-8, 11-8). In the corresponding Girls final, Ishita Colaso showcased her skill with a 3-1 (11-3, 11-7, 6-11, 11-3) victory over Aarna Lotlikar.
Ruhaan Shaikh earlier claimed the U13 Boys title in a hard-fought five-game thriller, edging out Yug Prabhu 3-2 (11-8, 7-11, 11-9, 8-11, 11-9). In the U13 Girls final, Aarna Lotlikar bounced back to secure the title by defeating Aayushi Amonkar.
In the U11 category, Ishaan Colaso registered a straight-set win over Ashank Dalvi (14-12, 11-9, 11-3) to take home the Boys title. Meanwhile, Anaya Shukla dominated the Girls final, beating Shaurya Dessai 3-0 (11-5, 11-5, 11-5).
Special prizes were awarded to the semi-finalists in the U11 and U13 categories — Aarish Shaikh, Vardhan Verlekar, Claire George, Tvisha Kotkar, Ishaan Colaso, Vedant Wagle, Sachi Dessai, and Tisha Shaikh — for their exceptional performances.
The tournament witnessed high participation and enthusiasm, reflecting the growing popularity of table tennis across Goa.
