Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Rajesh Patnekar today said that the Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu will be the Chief Guest for the ‘Legislator’s Day’ event on January 9.
Patnekar said that the Vice President will be on ten-day visit to Goa.
He said total five legislators including a present MLA will be felicitated at the hands of Naidu.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs Eduardo Faleiro, former Chief Minister and sitting Congress MLA Pratapsingh Rane, ex MLAs Rohidas Naik, Chnadrakant Chodankar and Anil Prabhudesai are those to be felicitated.
Speaking about the upcoming session of the state legislative assembly, Patnekar said that the session would be held from January 25 to 29.
He said that on the first day, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari will address the House.
He said that a total of 751 starred and unstarred questions have been received, of which 195 are starred questions while 556 are unstarred.
