As SGPDA fish market is all set to open from tomorrow as per high court directives, Goa Forward Party (GFP) President and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai on Thursday has demanded that fish be checked for formalin.
Sardesai also slammed the state government for Covid mismanagement.
“I have been consistently saying that fish has to be tested. I as individual and a party president will insist on checking fish for formalin.” Sardesai said speaking to media
He further said that the state government has failed in terms of Covid management and that the state is heading towards self imposed lockdown.
He said, “The State is heading towards “self imposed #lockdown” with rising covid cases and nine deaths in less than a month, is a worrying situation.”
The MLA also questioned as to why the health facilities and infrastructures were not ramped up during the lockdown period.
Meawhile, the Fatorda MLA also criticised the state government for using prohibitory orders under Sec 144 against opposition and those opposing anti-people projects.
