MAPUSA: In response of Vidio that is circulating of Assault SDPO Mapuca Jivba Dalvi informed that on at 22.15 hrs, a phone call was received from at colvale Police Station informing that group fight is going on near Om Sai Restaurant Colvale.
On receipt of this information, Colvale Police station staff visited the spot and on visit noticed that group of migrant truck drivers under influence of alchohol is creating nuisance and disturbing public peace in the locality. They were seen fighting and abusing each others and general public seen present at the spot and demanding action against said persons.
It was found that above trucks driver were under influence of alcohol and not in position to take care of themselves and if kept at large they may creat furthermore crime in the locality and hence they were requeted to accompany Police. They all found became violent and seen becaming arressive and not co-operating the police.
Further by using minimum force all of them were brought to the Police station. While the incident was going on, it is noticed that people gathered started recording the incident on their mobile phone.
There were total 03 truck driver making nuisance and all of them were brought to the Police station and were medical examine at District hospital Mapusa for consumption of alcohol and there tested positive for consuming of alcohol and further all were arrested u/s 34(VI) of IP act for creating nusaince in open public place under influence of alchol and further place under arrest.
Today all three of them were produced before JMFC Mapusa along with report for taking action against and they pleaded guilty and were fine Hon’ble JMFC Mapuca.
Arrested persons realise today morning there mistake after there alcohol effect was over . No any complaints by arrested persons against any police of colvale Police station.
