Chicalim: VM Salgaocar Corporation Pvt. Ltd. and its sister concerns have donated critical lifesaving ICU and other medical emergency equipment’s to various Government Hospitals in the State of Goa to support the fight against Covid – 19 pandemic.
A batch of Philips Ventilators and Philips Oxygen Concentrators were handed over to the Dr. Shivanand Bandekar Dean, Goa Medical College in presence of other Government and Company Officials at the Premises of Goa Medical college.
The company has also donated batches of Philips Oxygen Concentrators to South Goa District Hospital, Margao, and Sub District Hospital, Chicalim, to aid the health care system in fighting the covid – 19 pandemic. The lifesaving equipment are imported and sourced from Netherlands.
Mr. Dattaraj Salgaocar, Chairman, stated that “The Covid – 19 pandemic has affected every one of us in many unimaginable ways. The Present wave has in particular been devastating and as such it’s our endeavor to provide support to the State of Goa in combating this pandemic. I would also like to convey my sincere appreciation to all the healthcare workers who have over the past year displayed exemplary courage and fortitude in leading the fight against the Covid – 19 pandemic.”
The company has also donated oximeters were also donated to Sub District Hospital – Chicalim, Village Panchayat of Chicalim, Village Panchayat of Benaulim and Indian Medical Association, Mormugao, to help provide much needed care to of Covid – 19 patients under who have opted for Home Isolation. The company will also in the process of donating an ambulance to further aid healthcare facilities in the State. The company is also exploring options to set up an Oxygen Plant in the State of Goa to further fortify the manufacture and supply of medical oxygen. The noble gesture is being appreciated by State Health Authorities and other stakeholders.
VM Salgaocar Corporation Pvt. Ltd has always put the safety of its employees, business partners and stakeholders on priority and have sought adoption of Covid appropriate behavior at all times. The company has also encouraged its employees to get vaccinated at the earliest wherever possible and will be reimbursing the cost of vaccination of its employees, spouses and their children above 18 wherever applicable.
