SANCOALE: A bar waiter was arrested on Monday night for allegedly assaulting a customer with a drinking glass at Sancoale.
Police said that around 8 pm on September 22, the accused, Bittu Mondal, a native of Nepal and resident of Sancoale, who works as a waiter at Laila Bar and Restaurant, allegedly abused complainant Sachin Rathod of Sancoale (native of Karnataka) in filthy language and attacked him with a drinking glass following a dispute over serving liquor. The complainant sustained injuries to his ear and neck.
The accused was arrested, and further investigation is being carried out by LPSI Pramila Fernandes of Verna Police Station.
