CANACONA: Shihab Chottur, a youth from Kerala(Malapur) has reached Goa on Sunday morning in his self challenge to reach Mecca Medina (Saudi Arabia) on Foot and perform Haj in 2023.
The has reached Karwar late Saturday night and arrived in Goa on Sunday morning, He was welcomed at Mahamaya Petrol Pump at Pollem with a flower garland, after which he took up his walking pilgrimage and took a afternoon halt at Gulem, than crossed Cuncolim and reached Margao.
One Ashraf from Sadashivgad (Karwar) who had accompanied him to Goa informed, he’ll take the coastal state route thriugj Gujarat to reach Wagah Border and cross over to Pakistan. from Pakistan he ll go to Iran, cross Iraq, and Kuwait and entering Saudi Arabia.
”In a years time in 2023, walking through 5 countries, scaling 8640 Kms, he on reaching Saudi Arabia will perform Haj at Mecca Medina’, Hassan Shaikh, who reached Polem border to welcome the youth on foot pilgrimage.
