PANAJI: Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho today said that his aim is to make Goa a leading hub for trading.
Minister Mauvin Godinho was addressing the gathering after the inauguration Vibrant Goa Summit 2024.
“I want to develop Goa as one of the largest trading hubs in India; our govt only welcomes non polluting industries so that Goa’s pristine glory is preserved,” said Godinho
He further said that his priority is to bring in and expand eco-friendly industries in the State.
The minister also added that the aim is to help the industries and remove any bottlenecks that may exist so that the processes involved for industries are smoother.
He further stated that there are industries that are not yet in Goa like the logistics industry and that the entertainment industry can be expanded too.
“These are green industries. They will not only provide employment to the people but will also boost the local economy. We have seen the need for logistics so that industry too can thrive here,” he added.
Godinho said that he has got some goodindustries in Goa with our new industrial policy with regards to warehousing, logistics which will make a positive change hereafter in Goa.
“Government is already working towards strengthening the ecosystem for industry in the State. Government intends to make Goa a Logistic Hub “This he said could be analternative option for industry and trade,” he added
