The Staff of Home Guards, the Home Guards and the Civil Defence volunteers today accorded a warm farewell to Deputy Commandant General of Home Guards and Deputy Director Civil Defence Shri Bosco George,IPS who has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.
Speaking on the occasion Shri George conveyed wishes to home guards and appreciated them for helping the police in discharging their duties.He also highlighted the role of Civil Defence and hoped that the efforts that he had taken to energise the organisation will fall in place even though he is not there. He wished the staff all the success. he thanked the staff of the Home Guard organisation and the Home Guard and Civil Defence Volunteers for their active support during his tenure.
Civil Defence Medical Officer Dr. Paresh Lawande said that Shri Bosco was a ever smiling and down to earth officer ever ready to help others.
Shri John Aguiar said that Bosco was one of the few officers who took interest in the organisation and initiated steps to motvate the volunteers and improve the working conditions. Shri Aguiar wished him all the success in his new place of posting.
Smt. Chandrelekha Luis and Smt Bibiana Fernandes also spoke on the occasion. Smt Geeta Rane compered.
Civil Defence Warden Shri Vijay Surlakar and Volunteers Shri Uday Kuri , Pralhad Mayekar, Rupesh Parvatkar were present on the occasion along with staff of the Department and Home Guard volunteers.
