VALPOI: Due to heavy rainfall in Sattari taluka, the water level in the Anjunem dam has increased dangerously.
The level has reached 87.50 meters and the water will be discharged in the coming days.
A press release released here said that t is expected that water will be discharged in the next two days.
As the level reaches 89 meters the water would be discharged, informed WRD officials.
At present, the level is only 1.50 meters lower than the threshold.
It is raining heavily in the area, and the level is expected to reach 89 meters in two days.
The WRD has asked people to stay alert.
