PORVORIM: MLA Michael Lobo today has urged the state government to halt construction licenses due to severe water scarcity issues in coastal belts.
He highlighted that locals are struggling to access water, while hotels are using pumps to extract large quantities, exacerbating the problem.
“The situation is dire, with locals resorting to drinking water from contaminated wells due to the Public Works Department’s (PWD) inability to supply clean water,” he added
