Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Saturday said that the State cannot escape the spike as the entire country has seen a huge increase in COVID19 cases.

“We cannot deny the fact that community transmission is happening,. To control the situation, we have restrain ourselves follow rules of social distancing, masks and use sanitisers. Also people should not move out without reason” he said.
To a query he said he said lockdown is not the answer or solution.
“Strict testing, isolation of infected and restrictions will help control the virus,” he said.
Referring to the death of a 31-yr old youth from Vasco, he said it was a case of chronic alcoholism.
“Besides, he had other complications,” Rane said.
Rane further said that the government will strictly implement the rules and penalise people as moving out unnecessarily will put others at risk.
