Panaji: As part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, the Office of the Collector and District Election Officer, South Goa, has initiated weekly meetings with representatives of recognized political parties to ensure transparency and active participation in the revision process.
According to the office, all Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) have been instructed to hand over weekly lists of Claims and Objections to representatives of recognized political parties. This measure is aimed at maintaining openness and enabling political parties to closely monitor the revision exercise.
In continuation of the previous weekly meeting, during which the weekly list dated December 26, 2025, was submitted, the meeting for the current week was held for the period from December 27, 2025 to January 1, 2026. During the meeting, the weekly list of Claims and Objections for the said period was shared with representatives of recognized political parties.
The Office further informed that all related documents, including weekly lists of Claims and Objections, acknowledgement copies and photographs, are being uploaded and published Assembly Constituency-wise on the South Goa Collector’s official website.
These steps are being undertaken to ensure transparency, inclusiveness and accuracy in the preparation of electoral rolls. The election machinery has reiterated its commitment to conducting the Special Intensive Revision in a free, fair and participative manner, strictly in accordance with the directions of the Election Commission of India.
