PANAJI: Sunburn Festival Organisers today have told the High Court of Bombay at Goa that they will abide by all the rules in terms of sound pollution.
During the hearing, Sunburn Festival Organisers also told the HC that they will also take measures to stop noise pollution and that sound observing materials will be installed at the venue.
Organisers also said that the will sound volume will be limited.
The court also asserted that the organisers of such mega events should scrupulously comply with the terms and conditions by which such permissions are granted.
High Court earlier ruled that the permission granted to Mumbai-based Spacebound Web Labs Pvt. Ltd. in 2022 to hold the Sunburn EDM Festival was illegal and liable to be quashed and set aside.
The Court had also asked the State Government to immediately constitute a Joint Special Cell comprising high-ranking officials from the police, the GSPCB, and the SDM/Collector which will ensure that the permissions are granted for such mega events in accordance with the notified Action Plan.
