PANAJI: New BJP entrant Jayesh Salgaonkar today said he will approach the rebel group and other party leaders and convince them to work together with him to make BJP win in Saligao.
A rebel group of BJP karyakartas, under the banner ‘Together for Saligao’, on Sunday, had announced their decision to field an independent candidate against the party’s candidate from the Saligao constituency in the upcoming assembly elections. “They have been nurtured by BJP. At one point of time they will realize. Party will talk to them. Even I am going to approach them and tell them lets work together,” he said.
He further went on to claim that members of rebel group itself had approach him to join BJP and be their captain. “I am confident they will come with us,” he added.
He further said that Goa Forward Supremo Vijai Sardesai has understood the reason why he left the party and has no issues with him now.
