Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has navigated this sensitive issue by stating that while the tomb will be protected due to its status as a protected monument, it will not be glorified. This stance comes amidst a backdrop of historical conflicts between Aurangzeb and the Marathas, which have been reignited by recent political debates.
The controversy surrounding Aurangzeb’s tomb has intensified in recent weeks, fueled by protests and political statements.
