PANAJI: PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar today said that he will retire from politics if the charges of PWD jobs scam is proved.
“I am coming straight that i will retire from politics if charges of PWD job scam is proved by the vigilance committee set up by the state government,” said Pauskar
He further said that the concerned MLA should place any proof or evidence against me if any to the vigilance committee.
When asked about BJP ticket, Pauskar said that he was confident of getting a BJP ticket.
Pauskar also clarified that around 368 of the candidates have been selected following the procedure without any interference.
Pauskar said that the accusation has no proof. “GEC college has set the paper and the polytechnic college has declared the results. As a Minister, I have not interfered in the process”, said Pauskar.
“Around 368 jobs have been given as per polytechnic results. I have not interfered in the recruitment process”, said Pauskar.
Pauskar said that Babush had recommended some candidates, but he did not interfere in the process.
“I have not interfered in the recruitment process. I don’t know what is in his (Babush) mind”, said Pauskar.
Meanwhile, Babush has reiterated his allegations. In fact, he went one step ahead in allegations saying that the job recruitment scam is about Rs 70 crore.
