SANKHALI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) kicked off its campaign for the 2027 Goa Assembly elections with a large-scale rally held in Sankhali, the home constituency of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
During the rally, a resolution was passed aiming to secure more than 27 seats in the upcoming elections. Party leaders urged workers to begin preparations immediately to ensure victory.
Chief Minister Sawant announced plans to create 10,000 new job opportunities across various government departments within the next two years.
He emphasized that the strength of the party lies in its grassroots workers and expressed confidence that with solid organization and leadership, the BJP would continue to govern Goa for the next quarter-century.
Sawant also highlighted the remarkable transformation of Sankhali into a model constituency, achieved through substantial improvements in infrastructure and welfare initiatives.
He attributed this progress to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who he said focused on the development of key sectors like youth, women, farmers, and the poor.
BJP state president Damodar ‘Damu’ Naik urged party members to stay united and focus on the common goal of securing a win in 2027, stressing that it was crucial for both old and new members to work together.
The rally also saw the felicitation of Chief Minister Sawant and Naik. In addition, BJP leader Sanjay Naik outlined the party’s upcoming Foundation Day celebrations, and Subhash Malik provided details about the ongoing Gaon Chalo campaign, designed to engage with the party’s grassroots supporters.
