PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that with STEMI Goa initiative, the state government hopes to reduce the number of deaths caused by cardiac arrest.
“With our STEMI Goa initiative, we hope to reduce the number of deaths in our state caused by cardiac arrest. Our goal is to achieve a healthy recovery for every patient who has suffered a cardiac arrest, and the STEMI initiative is a critical step in that direction,” said HM Rane.
He further said that Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is still the world’s leading cause of death, accounting for 18.6 million deaths per year.
“Because heart attacks are so common these days, it’s critical to maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep in shape,” he said.
