MARGAO: Bibi Jan Shaikh, 54, of Hubballi, Karnataka, has been arrested by the Konkan Railway Police, Margao, for allegedly committing theft of gold ornaments from the Margao Railway Station.
According to reports, the culprit confessed to the crime during the investigation, and 60.050 grams of stolen gold worth ₹4.4 lakhs in melted form were recovered from a Hubballi jeweler.
Her participation in related theft cases in Karnataka has been discovered through additional research. The JMFC Margao has remanded the accused to five days of police imprisonment.
The KRPS team, commanded by PI Sunil Gudlar, with PC Mohammed Hussain, PC Manjunath, and LPC Manisha Velip, carried out this operation under the general supervision of SP Harishchandra and the supervision of DySP KRPS Nilesh Rane.
