ANJUNA:A woman in Anjuna was allegedly assaulted by her brother-in-law, who reportedly attacked her with a hockey stick and subjected her to verbal abuse near her residence.
The assault left the woman with injuries to her head, nose, and hand, prompting her to file a formal complaint with local authorities.
In response to the woman’s complaint, law enforcement acted promptly, apprehending the suspect shortly after the incident. The accused was presented before the Mapusa Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court, where the judge ordered his detention in police custody for six days to facilitate further investigation.
