COLVA: A woman from Thonwado, Betalbatim, sustained bleeding injuries after she was allegedly assaulted by her worker during a dispute over payment on Thursday evening.
Complainant Delissa Pinto informed police that on September 4 at around 6.30 pm, the accused, identified as Rakesh Devangun, a native of Chhattisgarh residing in Betalbatim, attacked her on the head with a metal pipe following an argument over payment. He also allegedly threatened to kill her with dire consequences.
The victim sustained bleeding injuries in the assault. Colva Police immediately arrested the accused, who has since been remanded to 14 days’ judicial custody.
