CUNCOLIM: A 36-year-old woman has been booked for allegedly driving rashly and injuring a minor cyclist at Gavthanwada, Cuncolim.
According to Cuncolim Police, the incident occurred on June 11 when Andrea Margarida Dsouza of Chinchinim was driving a Hyundai i20 from Panzorconi towards Savorcotto. At the four-road junction at Gavthanwada, she reportedly lost control of the vehicle and struck a 12-year-old boy who was crossing the road on his bicycle.
Police said the child fell on the road and suffered head injuries. A case was registered following a complaint by Head Constable Apa Satpalkar of Cuncolim Police Station. Further investigation is in progress.
