COLVA: A road accident reported at Seraulim, Colva, has claimed the life of a woman who was injured after being hit by a car last week.
According to police, the incident occurred on October 2, 2025, at around 10:00 p.m., when Steve Lorie Alfanso, a resident of Comba, Margao, was driving a Baleno car from Margao towards Colva in a rash and negligent manner.
When the vehicle reached near Reliance Park Co-operative Housing Society, Seraulim, it allegedly struck a pedestrian, Minguelina Viegas of Benaulim, who was crossing the road at the time.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, where she succumbed to her injuries on October 5, 2025.
Colva Police have registered an offence based on the complaint of Head Constable Tony Fernandes of Colva Police Station. The case is being investigated by LPSI Raksha Naik.
