MARGAO – A woman from Pajifond, Margao has filed a complaint alleging she was cheated of ₹3.3 lakh by a man posing as a seller of a two-wheeler on Instagram. The accused, identified as Sai Dalvi from Curchorem, reportedly contacted complainant Mamta Jai Singh Rajput between April 4 and April 16, 2025, and convinced her to transfer the amount in multiple transactions under the pretext of selling her a Honda Activa.
According to the complaint, the accused used fraudulent means and computer resources to induce the victim to send money to bank accounts belonging to him and five other individuals. The total loss amounted to ₹3,30,000.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is being carried out by PI Suraj Samant of the Margao Town Police Station.
