NUVEM: A woman identified as Mrs. Yamuna Pawar, wife of Demu Pawar, was found dead at a residence near Apollo Ceramics, Kirbhat, Nuvem.
Police said that PCR Panaji informed them about the incident, following which a team visited the site. Jason Noronha, son of house owner Lurdin Miranda, informed police that the deceased had been residing in the house for the past three years. She was unwell and reportedly suffering from high diabetes.
The woman was shifted to South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), Margao, in a 108 ambulance, where she was declared dead. Police conducted a scene of unnatural death (UD) panchanama in the presence of panch witnesses.
The body has been preserved at SGDH morgue for inquest panchanama and medico-legal formalities. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Sanket Naik of Maina Curtorim Police Station.
