MOLLEM: A woman sustained a head injury after a Kadamba bus allegedly dashed against a Thar car at Amod Ghat road near Nandran, Mollem, on Saturday evening.
According to a complaint lodged by Pandurang Haldankar, a resident of Madel, Chorao, Tiswadi, the incident occurred at around 4:00 pm while he was travelling with his friend Vrushali Painginkar, a resident of Borda, Margao. They were proceeding from Margao towards Belgaum in his Thar car when the accident took place.
As per the complaint, after crossing the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary area and upon reaching a curve at Amod Ghat road at Nandran, a bus belonging to Kadamba Transport Corporation allegedly attempted to overtake another vehicle coming from the opposite direction in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against the Thar car.
Due to the impact, the occupant of the Thar car, Vrushali Painginkar, sustained a head injury.
Collem Police have registered the case, and further investigation is being carried out by HC 4958 of Collem Police Station.
