KHAREBAND: A woman riding a scooter sustained injuries following a road accident at the Three Road Junction in Khareband on June 11, 2025. According to a complaint filed by ASI Santosh Gaonkar of Margao Town Police Station, the mishap occurred when the driver of a Maruti Swift car, identified as Merlyn Fernandes, 39, a resident of Benaulim, allegedly drove her vehicle in a rash and negligent manner, endangering human life. While approaching the junction, the car reportedly collided head-on with an oncoming Honda Activa scooter, causing the rider, Minguelinha Oliveira, a resident of Sernabhati, Colva, to fall on the road and sustain injuries.
